"Oh." Gloriana said. "Has that changed now?" she asked.

Nick smiled warmly at her question. "Most definitely, it has," He told her, leaning forward to kiss her again, "There's no need to worry about that." He had planned on finally settling down in one place for a while as it were. Gloriana just helped to cement the fact that he was staying around for far longer than he normally would. "Now how is it that an absolutely beautiful woman like you could go so long being single?" He asked her.

"I've never been good at opening up to someone. Especially since a lot of the guys that I meet are human. But with you, it's different, we have at least one thing in common and that's enough to establish a relationship. All the other guys that I've met, we've had nothing in common." Gloriana answered. "But that has definitely changed, and I love it." she added.

Nicholas nodded. It was hard for any vampire to open to a human; he was sure it was harder when there was a romantic attachment. You never knew how they might react. "Yeah, its good to have things in common," Nick agreed with her, "And I love this too."

"Nick, do you think it's weird at all for us to be this close when we just met a few hours ago?" Gloriana asked suddenly. "I mean, I love that we are able to be this close, but it almost seems unreal that we are already considering this a relationship and we are both comfortable with each other. I just need to know if this is going to fast or not." she added.

Nick thought about what she'd said for a moment. "I don't really have all that much of a problem with it," He said, "But if you think we're moving too fast, we can always slow things down a little, if that's what you want." He didn't mind things going along a lot more quickly than normal. But it was up to her; if she was uncomfortable with it, he wouldn't force her to continue on at a swift pace. It wasn't like they had a short period of time to get this relationship going.

"I'm fine with going through things quickly, but I would like to slow things down a little bit. I mean, we pretty much have forever have our lives together, but this pace is a little too fast for me." Gloriana admitted.

Nick smiled at the idea of spending his life with Gloriana. "I'm perfectly okay with that, Gloriana," He said, not minding having to slow down a bit, if it would make her more comfortable. As long as she was happy, he had no issue with it.

"You know, we should go lay in the field and stare at the stars tonight. We could make it a picnic dinner, just the two of us." Gloriana suggested.

Nick smiled and nodded to her. "I'd like that, Gloriana," He told her. He knew pf a nice place to go, where it was almost pitch black and you could see almost every star in the sky. It was beautiful, and he wanted her to see it.

"So how good are you at cooking and/or baking?" Gloriana asked, raising an eyebrow as an idea came to her, while she got up and held out her hands.

"Not very," He said, though it was merely a guess, "Its not exactly a skill I developed." It wasn't as though he needed to eat; he normally just stuck to food and never bothered to learn much about cooking. He stood up and took hold of her hands, wondering just what she had planned.

"Even though food has absolutely no substance to us anymore, you are going to learn how to bake, and how to cook. But first, we are going to start with baking." Gloriana said with a smirk, leading Nick towards the door to take him back downstairs to the kitchen.

"Alright, I don't have any problem with that," He said, following her down to the kitchen. Even though they didn't eat, why not learn a new skill? You never knew when you might have to pretend to be a human, so it was always good to have of their skills for everyday life."What are we baking?" He asked.

"Chocolate chip marshmallow cookies." Gloriana said with a smile. "Kellie and I make them all the time, and everyone loves them." she added.

"Sounds interesting," Nick said, "Do you guys eat human food often then?" He couldn't remember the last time he'd eaten any human food. It wasn't something that really crossed his mind, since he was never hungry for blood, only thirsty for blood.

"Not all the time, just sometimes. Every once in a while we pretend to be a normal human family so we go out to eat; but there are times, like once a month, after we have fed that we bring some food to the homeless shelter." Gloriana explained. "You should come with us sometime, you don't have to eat much, but it would still be nice." she added, looking over her shoulder at him.

"Really? That's nice of you," He said with a smile. Philanthropy was not on the radar of most vampires. Of course, most vampires would just see an easy meal in a homeless person, not someone to be fed. "Maybe I'll take you up on that," He said, smiling at her as she looked over his shoulder at him.

"Yeah, I'm fine with that," He told her with a smile, "Why wouldn't I be?" He was glad that she thought he'd fit in with her family. He wanted this to last; he wasn't sure how likely that would be if he didn't like her famiky, or they didn't like him.
