Clara stepped out of the passenger side of her brother's car, looking around the parking lot. It was their first day of school there; she had contacted the office over the weekend and set everything up. In fact, it was their first day at any school, ever. Clara was intrigued, it was a whole new experience.
She noticed many people looking her way, blushing slightly. She wasn't used to attracting this much attention, but she supposed it was just because she and Jack were new. She kept her eyes peeled, looking for the new friend she'd made, and for the Cullens, who were supposed to be attending school here too. She looked over at Jack. "We're supposed to check in at the main office," She told him.

Jack, being the cocky macho man he thought he was, stepped out of the car feeling over confident. He took off his sunglasses, wearing them because he felt like it and gave a swift look over the school. He hated it at first site but as soon as the first cute girl walked by his mind soon changed.
"Uh-huh," he told her sister closing the door to his car and locking it. He nodded towards the bulding clearly marked office. "I am never going to school for fun again," he muttered walking to the other side of the car, a book in his hand so he didn't look like the slaker he was. He swallowed. "You coming?" he asked his sister without turning around.

Clara smirked lightly at her brother's overconfident exit from his car, and saw that he was already checking out the girls. She rolled her eyes at his comment; they hadn't even been there for two minutes yet. How could he know he'd dislike it so much that he wouldn't want to do it again? "Coming," She said, following after him.
She picked up the pace and was soon walking side by side with Jack. She could see the girls around them giving her brother looks, and she rolled her eyes again-though the fact that there were guys looking at her in the same way didn't escape her notice, making her blush. She went into the office, where they were expected, and leaned against the counter as she waited for the secretary to bring out their schedules.

Jack leaned agaisnt the counter too but instead had his back to it so he could check the girls walking around the office. "I changed my mind," he started slowly, winking at a girl. "Maybe I will like it here," when he heard foot steps approching he turned around and smiled at the woman. "Jack and Clara Reed," he said when she asked for their names,"
He sighed as she scrambled for the shedules, having lost them for a minute. He raised an eyebrow at the red-headed woman who finally found the schedules and gave him Clara's and her his. He sighed and switch the schedules on his way out. "Stupid humans," he muttered

She rolled her eyes at his stupid human comment as she headed out of the office. "Yeah, like you're so perfect," She scoffed under her breath. She looked at her schedule, then pulled out the map that the secretary had given them both with her schedule. She studied the map, then looked to Jack.
"What class do you have first?" She asked. She doubted that they would have every class together, not all of them would be open for two extra students. "I've got English," She said.

Jack huffed. "I am perfect," he said looking at his schedule like he was the king of the earth. He swallowed. "I've got science," he muttered sighing slowly. He knew it was bummer not being in the class with his sister but in his mind that meant two whole hours away from her, it killed him a little.
"Will you be okay without me?" his tone had changed from jokening to seriousness. He loved his sister but he knew how terribly shy she was and he didn't want her to get into any kind of trouble or worry. He raised an eyebrow.

Clara rolled her eyes again at his assertion that he was, in fact, perfect. She noted that he seemed rather bummed that they wouldn't be together in their first class, which didn't surprise her. They were rarely apart for very long, and though they got on each other's nerves, they were very close to each other.
"I'll be fine, Jack," She said, giving him a small smile, "Its only high school. People a tenth of our age survive. It shouldn't be very hard at all." She looked at the map they'd been given, trying to locate her classroom. Once she found it, her eyes darted back to Jack. "You gonna be okay yourself, Mr. Perfect?" She added, a slight teasing tone to her voice.

Jack shrugged. Of course he was going to be okay he was after all Mr. Perfect. He slid on his glasses like the cool dude he believed he was. "Of course," he muttered heading of in the direction of a cute blonde. "See ya at lunch!" he yelled to his sister without turning around.
He flirted with the blonde for a while before realizing she was a bubble head. Glancing at his map he headed towards class which he spend making google eyes at girls to pass the time. Once that was over and lunch time had finally come and he walked in with glasses on and looked for his sister if she had survived.

"See ya," Clara called back to him, heading for her English class, shaking her head as she saw him immediately go after a cute looking blond. She was glad she had a good sense of direction, her English class was a long way off and she probably would've been late if she'd gotten lost.
The morning went by quickly; Clara ended up being jabbered to endlessly by a girl named Allison, who ended up being in two of her classes. Clara got the feeling, though, that she was only talking to her because of the attention she was getting, especially from the males in the classes. Luckily, they didn't have lunch together. It was a relief; she didn't think she could take anymore of the stream of talking that flowed from that girl's mouth. Spotting her brother, she walked over to him. "So, how as your morning?" She asked.

Jack almost to a point of shifting to a vampire to sniff out his sister was gald when she walked through the door. They weren't close close but he needed her and he knew all to well that she needed him too. He walked towards her. He saw a few girls turning their heads his way and he couldn't help but smirk. He stopped at his sister's side. "You look tired," he laughed a little, trying to get some humor in this hell of a day.
He looked around again and spotted an empty table. "Make any friends?" he asked rasing an eyebrow, after he had nodded towards the table and was well on his way walking towards it. He highly doubted she had but somewhere deep inside him hoped she had made a friend because he would hate to leave her alone when he would go on dates and such. She was after all his little sister and he had to watch out for her.

Clara watched as her brother came over and walked by her side"And you look like you've been flirting with girls all morning," She said to him with a smirk, "Typical morning for you, I guess?"
As they moved towards an empty table, she settled down at it before answering his question. "I made...not really a friend, more like a very annoying parakeet..." She told him. She really didn't know of another way to describe the girl who'd hung around her for two hours besides that. "Did you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
