Nick walked around his current home, a cabin towards the edge of Forks, waiting for Gloriana to arrive. He invited her over, since she'd expressed an interest in seeing the place where he lived. Nothing in it was really his though, everything was rented, the cabin coming furnished. The only thing he really owned in the place were his books and his clothing. He just hoped she liked it.
He'd been thinking lately about getting a place that he actually owned, since it was apparent that he was going to be staying around longer, because of Gloriana. He didn't want anything tearing him away from her.

Gloriana was starting to get nervous. She was heading to the address that Nick had given her that was standing in as his house. But even with knowing that he didn't know his parents, Gloriana was nervous about going to see Nick's place.
Him being at her house was one thing, but her being at his, that was something new to her. She had never been to a boyfriend's house before, and for some reason, this whole thing scared, yet excited, her at the same time. And it made her relationship with Nick all the more real.
As Gloriana neared the cabin, she stopped and took some unneeded deep breaths. She wanted to appear human to anyone who might walk by, right? After calming herself down a considerable amount, Gloriana walked up to the door and knocked.

Before she even knocked on the door, Nick knew that Gloriana had arrived; he could smell her scent, just outside the barrier of the walls and the doors. He went to the door and opened it, smiling at her when he saw her face. "Hey, Gloriana," He said to her, leaning down to quickly kiss her cheek. He stepped out of the way so she could step through the door. "Come on in." He'd never had a girlfriend come over to his place before, mostly because he hadn't had a girlfriend before, so he was sure he was just as nervous about this as she was.

"Hey Nick." Gloriana said with a smile when he opened the door and let her in. "Thank you so much for inviting me to come over. It means so much to me that you are willing to show me where you live." she added wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him a kiss, all the while having a smile on her face.

"Its no problem at all, love," Nick said with a smile and returned the kiss, wrapping his arms around her waist as her arms found their way around his neck. He pulled away after a few moments, looking down at her, the smile still on his face. "So, do you want a tour of the place?" He asked. There wasn't a whole lot to show her-the cabin was only one floor, so there were only a few rooms. Just the bare essentials, really.

"I would love a tour of the place." Gloriana said with a smile.
She was happy to be here and wanted to see what Nick's house looked like, even thought it was a one story cabin. Quality is better than quantity, so she didn't care if Nick's place was small.
A smaller place seemed more intimate than a bigger place. And so far, Gloriana was liking Nick's one story cabin better than her family's two story house.

Nick nodded and smiled, and stepped away from her. "Well, this is the living room," He told, gesturing to the room they currently stood in. There was a large, comfortable L-shaped couch dominating the room, a flat screen TV, and a bookcase. He then pointed to the kitchen, the doorway to which was just off the living room. "And that's the kitchen," He said, walking towards the room. Inside, there were all the typical things found in a kitchen, along with a small table with a few chairs. Nothing too fancy. "I don't use it much," He told her.

"I can tell. Everything looks brand new. But that's okay, it's not a deciding factor on how I feel about you." Gloriana said when she looked in the kitchen.
"But the one room I do want to see is the bedroom." she added, looking up at Nick with a small smile on her face.

"I'm sure you would've dumped me by now if you were basing your relationships solely on cooking skill," He said with a smirk. Beyond baking with her the first day they'd met, he hadn't cooked much at all in the past seventy years or so. He smiled a little at her request to see his bedroom. "Is that so?" He asked, smirking playfully. "Well, I see no reason to deny your request." He walked out of the kitchen, and headed down a short hallway, opening the door to his bedroom. It was a fairly large room, with most of the things you'd expect to find in a bedroom-bookcases, a desk, a chest of drawers, and a bed. He didn't make much use of the bed-usually he just lay there when he wanted to think, since he certainly wasn't sleeping in it.

"That is true, and it wouldn't be the best thing to determine the outcome of a relationship since there aren't very many guys that I've known who like to cook, or are good at it." Gloriana said with a smile.
As Nick lead her toward the bedroom, Gloriana wondered what it would look like. She hoped that it would show Nick's personality, but she couldn't be sure. But once he opened the door, Gloriana was surprised. It was bigger than her own room, but it had all the things that are usually in a room: a desk, a few bookcases, a dresser and a bed, which from the looks of it, had never really been used.
"This is a huge room Nick." Gloriana commented.

Nick wasn't really sure what to make of the huge room comment. "Yeah, its the biggest in the place," He said, "I don't know much about it being huge compared to other bedrooms though. I don't often find myself sleeping in any. At least I haven't in the past." He walked over to what the probably the oddest thing in the room-but not completely out of place-a large fireplace. He'd lit a fire in it, a couple times, but he was normally comfortable, and didn't bother with. He sat down on the stonework, looking up at her, wondering what to do next.

"What are we going to do now?" Gloriana asked walking over to the bed and sitting down. "Because usually I would have an idea, but since this is your place, I'll let you decide what to do." she added with a smile while looking at Nick before looking around the room a little bit more... mainly at the bookcases.
"What kinds of books do you have?" she asked, getting up and walking over to one of the shelves.

"I think we should just relax a bit," He suggested, laying back on his bed for a moment, sitting up when she asked about his books, watching her walk over to the bookshelf. "Anything I can get my hands," He said with a smile, "I love to read. Always have...I'll read anything, just about." Most of the books on the shelves were more recent acquirements, since he'd move to Forks. Some of the more beat up once he'd had for years, even decades.

"Do you have a favorite one out all of these?" Gloriana asked, taking a more worn out book off of one of the shelves. After reading the back cover, she put the book back.
If the summary on the back of the book didn't spark her interest, she figured that the rest of the book wouldn't, but in this case, she wasn't fully focused on any part of the book. She just wanted to be with Nick.

"None in particular," He said. He'd never really had a clear favorite. He just read whatever he could, whenever he could. There were thousands of books, stories, and facts crammed into his brain. He couldn't figure out how to begin to pick a favorite out of those. He stood up and walked over to where she stood, gently placing an arm on her shoulder as he looked up at the bookshelves. "Do you have a favorite book?" He asked, looking at her.

When Nick placed his arm around on her shoulder Gloriana leaned into him and wrapped her arms around his waist. She really liked being with Nick.
"Um, I guess my favorite book would have to be Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. But I haven't read it in 10 years. Not since the fire that burned down my family's house. I lost everything except for my brother and then we found Mark and Kellie. But it doesn't matter any more. I read a wide range of fiction books now." Gloriana said with a sigh.
