Maybe Tom Sawyer had a bit more luck After all, he got people to paint his fence. "AND LEAVE ME THE FRICK ALONE!" She screamed, slamming the door behind her and taking off, bag around her shoulder. Running as quickly as she could, she swung around to the garage. Of course, the jerk anticipated her every move and was standing there, holding her skateboard.
"Looking for this, Kira?" He sneered. Backing away, she fled, sprinting out of his sight. It didn't take a genius to figure out that her stepfather was laughing maniacally. As warm, salty water filled and burned her eyes, the eighteen-year-old kept going. Her feet and legs burned as she didn't slow her pace. Breaking through the bushes, she hopped over logs and around trees. She took a turn past the moss-covered rock and another one at the third log. Sighing, she found a stump. An unoccupied one, at that. Twisting her hair into an acceptable manor, she let it rest over her right shoulder. It cascaded down to her rib cage. After a few moments, she decided she would draw a little to help ease her mind. Letting out a soft sigh, she opened her bag and pulled out a small sketchbook. She thought back to what she saw and heard last night.
Quietly opening the booklet to the next clean page, she took out a pencil and an eraser. She swiftly got to work. She let each hair be marked in a simple way. The snout fit the facial expression well. Its dark lip was curled slightly. she may not have seen it, but she heard snarling the previous night. Smiling slightly, she tilted her head to the side before adding in ears. One was bent, while the other was alert. The detail of the animal's face was as good as she could get. She drew a small battle scar under its left eye. She shaded in the irises of its eyes. Working on the body, she drew the shaggy fur and let it extend so that there was a large coat of neutral fuzz. With a few lines and curves and body was pretty well formed. She drew a bit more fur on its belly before drawing the tail. The eighteen-year-old drew its tail out, but slightly drooping. she sighed a bit more deeply after she had finished this. Little did she know, it was beginning to get shadier. As she worked on the animal's legs and paws, she added in her own touch here and there.
About half way through, she had begun to hum a song she knew, called "When I Go Out I Want to Go Out on a Chariot of Fire" by Escape the Fate. Mumbling the chorus, she didn't even notice the bushes behind her rattle. Her dark, emotionless eyes were fixed on the small sketch. By now, one of the legs were done. Its foot had a couple of visible claw tips poking out of the fur. Tossing her hair behind her, she worked on the next one. Once it was finished, she worked on the next, and the next. Finally, she had finished her quick sketch. Using her eraser, she took out a few sloppy lines and added in a bit of shading. Looking at it, she smiled. It wasn't that bad.
Carefully placing the pencil and eraser back in her bag, she blinked a few times before turning. when she saw somebody there, she just about had a heart attack. Jumping practically out of her skin, she instinctively let her hand go to her heart. Breathing a bit easier, she smiled sheepishly before mumbling her apology. Looking up, she gave the person a bit of a half smile before sighing again.
Perhaps wearing a pair of black skinny jeans and an old band t-shirt wasn't the best idea for talking a walk in the woods. Maybe if she had a better shoulder bag, her walk would've been easier. Perhaps not lugging that solid black bag of randomness in solid black-and-white converse would have been a better choice, but who knows and who cares?

Titanus sprinted through the woods, moving through the underbrush with ease. He was used to going through rougher terrain; this was nothing. He was dressed in a pair of jeans, well worn and comfortable, a black t-shirt, and a leather jacket, nothing unusual or out of the ordinary. He could easily come off as appearing as nothing more than a human, if it weren't for his bright, yellow eyes. He'd considered getting contacts, just to blend in better; but he decided it wasn't worth it. He didn't spend a lot of time in close contact with humans each and every day, and most he came across just assumed he had contacts anyway.
Today, it seemed, he would be coming into contact with a human, though merely by chance. As he emerged from the underbrush, he found himself in a clearing, a stump in the middle of it, a young women sitting on it. As she stood and turned, she jumped at the sight of him. He couldn't just turn and leave, that would seem too weird.
His yellow eyes focused on her, studying her. She was around how old he was when he'd been turned, perhaps a bit younger, but it couldn't be by very much. And she seemed absolutely freaked out by his sudden appearance.
"I'm sorry, if I frightened you," He said gently, "I didn't realize anyone else was out here." It was his own fault, he supposed. He hadn't been paying much attention to his surroundings, just enjoying his his run. It was rare that he was so inattentive, and he did feel bad for having startled her.

Maybe Tom Sawyer had a bit more luck After all, he got people to paint his fence. If you're wondering why she jumped so fiercely, she saw a large, huge, colossally tall person pop out in front of her from out of nowhere! Nearly dropping her sketch book, she held it tightly in her arm. Her fingers wrapped around the spiral binding as if she had never known the term 'Let Go.'
Just as his brilliant, yellow eyes were fixed on her, Sawyer's dark, black-brown. He had shaggy dark hair, not bad looking at all, and oh yeah! He was flipping huge. "Woah..." She muttered under her breath. The comparatively small girl looked up and breathed quietly. After a few seconds, she determined that, although he was about twice her height, he was close to her age. Within seconds, she had contact with his eyes. Practically unable to breathe, she just held the gaze. Then, she broke it, looking at her feet. Looking back up, she quietly mumbled a little before speaking, "Um... You have... really bright eyes..." She gave him a small smile before feeling her face blush a little.
"Oh, It's no problem... I'm kinda used to it..." She said, gripping her sketchbook tighter. Her knuckles turned white and she forced a soft chuckle. Quickly changing the subject, she smiled a bit brighter. "I'm Sawyer, and you are...?" She inquired. Sticking out her right hand. That's when she realized that she had forgotten to take off the black, severely chipped, nail polish. She gave the huge guy a small shrug before Her eyes, as dull as they were, seemed a tiny bit brighter. Although she never let emotion escape through her eyes, their tone would vary.
After she felt a shake softly go up her arm, she let go and lowered it. Unwillingly, the grip on her sketchbook loosened. With a soft thud, it fell to the ground and opened on a random page. No, it wasn't on the wolf-page, but a chipmunk one. Letting the warmth flood her face, Sawyer bent down to grab her small booklet. Ack! Why am I such a klutz when there's somebody around? She mumbled in her head. Hearing something, she quickly glanced up. Strands of her hair still crossed over her face as she noticed what was going on.
This day was definitely going down as weirdest day in history.

((No worries over something small like that. Or about the word count))
It took Titanus a moment to realize how intimidating he must look to her. She was on the petite side, and he stood nearly a foot taller than her. That combined with his muscular build meant he probably looked enormous when compared side by side to her. She held his gaze for a brief moment, before looking down at her feet, then back up at him. He smirked slightly at her comment. "Yeah, I get that a lot..." He said. Well, he got things of that same nature.
"I'm Titanus," He told her, "Pleasure to meet you, Sawyer." He expected a comment about his name; he'd gotten them more times than he could count, and never minded them. But if she said nothing, he wouldn't mind; he was used to it. He gripped her hand lightly as she held it out to him, shaking it. Her hand, like the rest of her, seemed tiny compared to his.
He looked down as her sketchbook fell to the ground and opened to a sketch of a chipmunk. He studied the picutre before she gathered it up. She had skill, he could tell that much. "You're a very talented artist," He told her. He looked away from her for a moment, hearing something out in the woods, before looking back at her, thinking nothing of the noise.

Smiling a little at his reply, Sawyer let out a slight laugh. Once he said his name, she grinned. "That's a really cool name. It fits!" She teased. Brushing some hair away from her face, the teen thought about how strong he looked. His hand shake was pretty strong and he had a good grip. Also, it was obvious that he was just being nice since she was well... tiny.
Strangely enough, his skin was a little warm. Okay... really warm, like sick-warm. Raising an eyebrow, shel let it go. Once he commented on her artwork, she smiled a little and glanced at her sketchbook. "Uh... thaaaanks, but not really..." She blushed a little at the compliment. Her short-lived happiness faded quickly as she recognized the voice that they could faintly hear. Her eyes didn't change, but she stopped dead in her tracks. "Crap..." She mumbled.
Out of the brush, her stepfather burst into the slight clearing. He was cursing and yelling. Once he spotted his daughter, he glared, ignoring the other person there. "What did you find some boyfriend, slut?" He sneered. Gulping, Sawyer took a half-step back. Her stepfather started to close the gap between them, but she side stepped him and sprinted into the woods. "Crap... Crap... Crap... Crap..." She mumbled over and over as she got chased. Ducking behind a tree, she watched as her horrible father figure kept running. Sighing she slid down the tree trunk and onto the ground. "Well... this sucks..." She mumbled, looking at the blood that she had drawn from the run.
Wiping it on her jeans, she started walking in the opposite direction. By the time that he figured out what happened, she'd be out of town. It all happened so fast. She was found, she ran. Now, she's going the other way by herself. Then again, this was usual.
Okay, maybe this wasn't the weirdest day. Maybe, it was the worst.

((Yeah, I'll have Titanus go after her dad.))
Titanus chuckled over her comment about her name. "I've never gotten that reaction before," He said with a grin. It was a refreshing change of pace. He could see her raise her eyebrows as they shook hands, and he supposed it was because he was warmer than her. His body temperature was up around 100 degrees or so normally, perhaps a bit higher; all children of the moon's temperature were. It wasn't much warmer than a human, but it was enough to be noticeable, a subtle difference between the two.
She was modest, he noticed as she shook her head at his compliment. Suddenly though, she froze, muttering the word 'crap'. He could hear a man's voice, out in the trees behind him, and he turned to see who it was. His brows furrowed at what the man said, calling her a slut. Who is this guy? He thought, watching as she ran off into the woods. He could still hear her voice, even after she'd hidden herself behind a tree.
"What the hell is your problem?" He snarled at the man, stalking after them. He had a very bad feeling about this guy. It was clear that Sawyer was somewhat afraid of him, considering the fact that she bolted like a rabbit as soon as he came towards her. So Titanus came after him, wanting to know exactly what was wrong with this male.

Smiling, Sawyer replied with a small nod, "Good! That means I'm different from everybody else." Her attitude towards others was rebellious and defiant. He had a nice smile, it was kinda weird. Although hers was a bit goofy, his was very true. Not like "oh, I'm smiling because that's what is nice." He was smiling because he meant it. That was more than what she could do.
Realizing that Titanus was actually following her father she ended up whirling around yet again. This time, following them both. 'What the hell is your problem?' She heard. Smiling a bit to herself, she silently thanked him. "Uhm... Titanus... I'd le--" She began, only to be cut off from the rage of her father.
"Shut up, Kira." The older man snapped, making her wince very subtly. "Nobody cares about your or what you say." His eyes narrowed as they bore down on the teen. Sawyer watched as the man who she called 'father' rounded on her new friend. "My problem is people who think they can barge into situations that they are clearly not part of." Shaking her head, gulping a little. Damn, did she feel weak.
"Just... let it go." She mumbled before starting to walk off. As she whirled around, she felt a sharp claw against her arm. Glaring, she turned and spun so that the grip was gone. Practically spitting, she screeched at her stepfather. "I THOUGH I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE ME THE FRICK ALONE!" Anger and hate bubbled up inside her. "I'M SICK OF YOU ACTING ALL PERFECT IN FRONT OF MY MOM AND BEING A ******* THE SECOND SHE LEAVES!" Yep. That's right, Sawyer cussed out her stepfather. Yes, this is the part where somebody would yell 'Oh, Suh-nap!' Thus, the score is now one for Sawyer, zero for her stepfather.
"You little--" Her father began, his face reddening. He stopped when he felt his step daughter had punched him clear in the face.
Hitting her mark, she slightly shook out her hand. The guy had a harder skull than she gave him credit for. The score was now two for Sawyer, none for her stepfather. She was on a roll. Huffing, she turned around and jogged away.
"Stupid....jerk....hitting....kicking...jerk.....dunno why....mom....die......hell...." She mumbled hastily under her breath as she left the scene. Obviously, the freak would go off and tell her mom, and obviously, her mom would get ticked at her. Right now--she didn't care. That's when she realized that she left her sketch book near her father. Groaning, she turned around and started to head back to where she left it.

((Removing the stars is entirely up to you))
Titanus's eyes narrowed as the man spoke to Sawyer, calling her Kira (he figured it was her actual name), and generally treating her in a degrading manner. As he turned around to shout out at him, Titanus stood silent and stoic, unphased by his words. Though he did have a point. He barely knew Sawyer, he really had no reason to go around defending her. But he did like her far more than this guy
As the man-some sort of father figure, her actual father, or her step-father, or her mother's boyfriend, or something along those lines, he deduce from her words-grabbed her arm, she did something she didn't expect her to do. She went from trying to run from him, to standing her ground, screaming at him.
And then she punched him in the face.
He liked this girl. Most wouldn't do something like that.
Titanus watched her walk off, then noticed that she'd left her sketchpad on the ground. He grabbed it and pushed his way past her step father. He gave him a glare as he past, a dangerous gleam in his eyes, daring the man to follow him.
He met Sawyer just as she turned to come back towards the area, and held out her sketchpad. "That was very impressive," He told her.

While she was walking, she somehow didn't notice the large figure in her way. bumping into his chest, she let out a soft 'oomph...' Blushing a little, she stepped back, giving him some space. "Sorry..." She said quietly, slightly embarrassed. Smiling a bit, she took back her sketch book. "Thanks..." She said. When he said that what she did was impressive, she looked up, surprised.
"Hah!" She laughed a little. Her laugh, however, was taut. It wasn't free flowing. "Thanks... again..." She said, yet again. Walking over to the rock that she sat on before, she looked at the sky, then up at him. "It's really pretty..." She mumbled, more to herself than to him. It was beginning to darken and the sky was an amazing mixture of purple, blue and black, but not like a bruise. More like... water colors. As she sat, she watched the sky turn from blue, to purple, to gray, to black. She loved the night time. It had all the shimmering stars, the beautiful, large moon... And, the air of nature was all around. This was probably her safe haven. At night, was the only time that the skies were clear. She was tracing old constellations with her finger, leaning on her opposite hand.
Sighing, she watched as a cloud floated past the moon. It seemed about full at this time. Sighing happily, she turned around to speak to Titanus again. Although, he was probably bored to death by now. Surprised, she looked at what there was, and barely squeaked, "T-Titanus? Are you glowing?" No, she couldn't hide the surprise in her voice, but this guy was definitely glowing. Strange? I think so.

Titanus gave a quiet laugh when she bumped into his chest, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he was standing just a few feet away from her. "Its okay, no harm done," He told her as she apologized. He smiled back at her as she took back her sketchbook, and followed her, standing behind her as she settled down at the rock. He gave her a slight nod as she mentioned how pretty the sky was.
It hit him then, what night it was. First night of the full moon. It had slipped his mind while he'd been with her and her stepfather. He needed to get out of there. He couldn't be around her when he transformed. It wouldn't take long at all to get to the safe zone he'd found, Clara and Jack were probably already waiting there for him. As long as he got away before the sun sunk below the horizon completely. "I really better be..." He began, before Sawyer's suprised voice interrupted him.
He was glowing, the moonlight already on him. But he could still light to the west. He still had time. "I...I need to go," He said, not offering any explanation, before he turned and ran, off into the trees. He soon felt his body start to shift, the change upon him. The moment the last rays of the sun disappeared, he burst out of his clothes, leaving them in shards behind him, his human body replaced by that of a massive white wolf.

I...I need to go. She heard. Looking up, she nodded just as he disappeared. Realizing that she was heading that way as well, she started jogging. "Home isss..." She quickly trailed off, unsure. Looking around, she realized that everything looked the same. Well, then. I'll just go this way. She thought, pointing in a completely random direction. How coincidental that it was the same way that her new friend had just left.
Stopping dead in her tracks, her dark eyes fixed themselves on the beautiful, majestic, white wolf in front of her. Deja vu occurred in her mind as she thought of the animal she had drawn just hours ago. Something was different about this wolf. Oh duh! It was gigantic! She quietly flipped past pages in her booklet and to the picture of a wolf. They were nearly exact.
"Weird..." She mumbled. That's when her friend, Common Sense, decided to hit her in the head. This wolf could've been dangerous. With that, she slowly stepped back wards, as to not draw attention to herself. This failed when she just so happened to step on a large twig, causing it to snap. "Crap..." She mumbled before moving back a bit faster. From there, she wasn't totally sure what happened.

Titanus sniffed the air, trying to figure out which way to go, which way he could find prey. All thoughts of Sawyer were gone from his mind, replaced by thoughts of hunger. He needed to hunt, the feeling gnawing at his gut so suddenly. His head snapped quickly as he heard a twig snap, a growl deep in his throat. His prey had found him. What luck.
He stalked forward, his teeth bared at the girl with sketchbook. This was too easy. He didn't even have to chase her down at all. By the time she tried to run, it would be too late. He'd have torn into her by then. He licked his chops at the thought. It'd been so long, since he'd tasted human flesh...
In the back of his mind, a voice screeching out, desperate to be heard. You know this person. You were just acting so friendly with each other. You haven't befriended a human in so long...you can't end it like this..."
But his hunger was winning out. There was no other prey around, and he needed to eat. So why not the human? Why spare her? He made up his mind, coiling slightly, before lunging at her, aiming for her neck, or her shoulder, to bring her quickly.

The wolf's teeth glimmered in the light of the moon. The girl gulped. She could feel her heart race at about three hundred beats per minute. Her eyes widened again, as she saw the enormous animal crouch and begin to stalk her. As she caught a glimpse of its eyes, she immediately thought of Titanus. They were exactly the same. Gold, intelligent, slightly warm, and familiar. She quietly looked before she heard a growl rip through his throat.
That's when it lunged. Of course, it connected easily with her shoulder, but in turn, she whammed it on its head with her backpack. It had about four textbooks, a makeup case, her phone, some pencils and a pair of shoes. Don't ask, but it was heavy. Gripping her shoulder, she left everything and ran. Obviously, the animal would recover quickly, but at least she had a slight head start. whimpering, Sawyer felt the warm, sticky blood ooze out of the bite mark. The good thing was it was her right shoulder. She was a lefty.
Once she got to a cave, she dashed in. Stupidest. Idea. Ever. A different growl rung through her ears. Really? REALLY? Ack! I'm going to die! She screeched in her mind as she made out the shape of a large bear. Apparently she had run a ways. Staggering a little, she tensed, ready to be pounded on by the bear. Strange as it seemed, the wolf looked about the same size, if not bigger, than this bear.
Her cheeks were flushing, not that one could see it in the cave, but she was beginning to feel dizzy. coughing a little, she kept one hand one pressed to her shoulder. Another kept her by the wall, as she stayed as silent as possible. Moving as quickly as she could, she evaded the lumbering bear's first attack. What sucked was that now, she was facing the cave entrance, meaning there was no escape. Only a miracle could save her.

Titanus felt his jaws sink into the flesh of her shoulder, but his victory was short lived. He felt something hard and heavy whack him in the skull, knocking him away from with a whine. He landed on his side, got back to his feet, and shook his head. Looking for his prey, he saw that it had already scrambled away from him, leaving her backpack behind.
Not giving up that easily, he pursued, following her to the cave she attempted to hide in. He heard another growl, coming from behind her. A bear. Trying to steal his prey. He nudged the girl aside, snarling in annoyance at the other creature.
Titanus lunged at the bear, going right for its throat. Their struggle was intense but over soon enough. In the end, the bear lay dead on the floor of the cave. Titanus had a few claw and bite marks on his body, but he knew they'd heal in the morning as soon as he shifted back into human form.It had always annoyed him a bit, that the ability to heal swiftly didn't carry over to his wolf form.
He settled down and tore into the bear's flesh. This was a much better meal for him, in the end. If he ate the human, he'd still have to spend the night hunting. The bear would fill him up for the night. There might even be some for him to come back to tomorrow night.
As he gorged himself, his golden eyes sought out Sawyer. With thoughts of eating her out of his mind, he had a bigger concern on his mind. He'd bitten her, she survived. She would change into a child of the moon. Tomorrow was going to be a long day for the both of them, and a very painful night for her.

Maybe Tom Sawyer had a bit more luck After all, he got people to paint his fence
So, there she was. Crouching ever so slightly, ready to be destroyed by the overweight creature. Strangely enough, a nudge hit her side. Although it seemed light, it left her struggling to gain her balance. Snarling and snapping, she groggily turned. In the very spot that she had been was a sterling white wolf. Its teeth were bared and it was snarling like no tomorrow.
Then, with a flash of white, it lunged. As creepy as it was, the wolf was so graceful and beautiful. Sawyer's brain wasn't cooperating well, so she saw only part of the small battle. There lay the bear, bloody and not living. The wolf had some blood on it as well. She saw what looked like a few cuts and scrapes, but nothing that would hinder the shimmering beast.
Watching the wolf, more like a mouse than a hawk, she saw it begin to eat the bear. Surprising? Yes. She was sure it would go straight for her. Although, at this point, she thought out would've been better if it did. The pain was searing through her like an open fire, literally. It felt like her arm was on fire.
Her eyes were dull and her breaths unsteady. Sweat was beginning to dot along her forehead. Her cheeks were as red as tomatoes and she couldn't help but let out a soft, curt whimper. As golden eyes met black ones, Sawyer swore she knew that wolf. She wasn't sure what it was thinking, but those eyes were so familiar. Again, she thought of Titanus. Those eyes were much too similar... Letting out a surprised little gasp, Sawyer felt the pain soar through her body, over and over again.
Wincing, her breaths became wheezes. Wave of pain after wave of pain came crashing onto her. Unsure why this was happening, she began to think, 'What... the heck.... is... going on? I just got.... bit... by a... stinkin... wolf.' Ho, ho, how wrong she was. This was not "stinkin wolf" it was none other than her friend, Titanus. Of course, how ever, she didn't know this. Forcing back tears, the numbing pain forced her mind in and out of consciousness.
From time to time, she caught glimpses of a wary-tired looking wolf. And from time to time, when she woke up, she felt a thick, brand new batch of pain and suffering wash over her. Ow... Why the heck is this happening?!? She called to nobody. Her eyes were glued shut from the sleep and tears. After a few blinks, they were open. Immediately, though, she closed them as another surge of hurt enveloped her.
Yep. This sucked.

His ears flicked towards her as she whimpered, holding her dark gaze with his golden one. The human part of him, buried beneath the beastly portion as it was every night, felt a pang of pity. The pain wouldn't fade anytime soon. The change was always the worst.
When he'd had his fill of bear meat, he stood up, and stepped closer to Sawyer, before he lay down besides her, looking out of the cave, watching for anything that might be a threat to him or her. Her scent was starting to change, slowly. It was still recognizable as hers, but it was also becoming that of a werewolf, not a human's. He looked over occasionally, she was slipping in and out of consciousness. At one point, she spoke out, but he was unable to answer her.
As the sun rose, Titanus shifted back, his wolf form slipping smoothly back to his human one. He stood up, and gently lifted Sawyer up into his arms. He ran back to his home, at full speed, mostly so she'd be someplace safe, but partly because he was completely nude after his transformation.
The house was empty; he supposed Jack and Clara hadn't gotten back yet, taking their time to return. He carried Sawyer up to his bedroom, laying her down gently on the bed in there. He quickly gathered up a clean set of clothes and pulled them on, before pulling over a chair besides the bed, sitting down and watching over her.

Maybe Tom Sawyer had a bit more luck After all, he got people to paint his fence
Even in her sleep, it felt like somebody was trying to kill her, burn her alive, choke her, anything. As she breathed slowly, she breathed unevenly. The pain refused to subside, feeling like daggers boring into her flesh. Brine fell down her cheeks as she closed and opened her eyes, rapidly. The next thing she knew she was being carried. As another surge of pain felt like pins being stuck into her, she hid her face into somebody's chest.
Sure she could feel the wind in her hair, but by the time the ride was over, the girl was limp again. Tensing over and over as she prepared for the aching. She throbbed and felt sore and tender everywhere. This time, when she woke up, she was in a bed. She hugged closer to the warm, comfortable sheets. Her body was racking from the pain. Breathing quietly and quickly, she buried her nose in the pillow. Squinting, not wanting to take in the light, she saw Titanus. Still suffering a little bit, she narrowed her eyes. "I would like an explanation. And God I'm hungry..." She snapped, her attitude having not changed.
That's when she realized she was in his bed. "What the...?" She mumbled, looking at the room. She looked at him, blinking a little as he sat in the chair near her. Curling up under the blankets, she waited for a good explanation, ignoring her hunger. Sure, her body shuddered from suffering, but she needed to know and nothing was going to stop her from figuring it out. She wanted to know why she was in so much pain from a wolf bite, why Titanus was there, where the white wolf went, where she was, and even more; she wanted to know what exactly was going on.

Titanus watched as Sawyer finally woke up, hugging the sheets before pressing her nose into the pillow. She then looked to him, and very swiftly demanded an explanation, and complained of her hunger. There was always intense hunger that came with the change. He'd have to see what he could do about food for her in time. He wanted to explain things to her first.
It was then that she seemed to realize that she was in his room, only adding to her confusion. He thought for a brief moment on how to go about this. He decided that being truthful and blunt would be the best way to go, not dancing around it. "I'm sorry, Sawyer, for what I did to you," He said, studying her intently with his yellow eyes, "I was the wolf, who bit you last night. If it hadn't been for that bear...you would've been dead."
He paused a bit. "But things are going to be...different for you now. You didn't die from the bite I gave you, so you'll become like me, Sawyer. A child of the moon. A werewolf. Tonight, when the sun's set, you'll change into a wolf. And then the night after that too, but not again until next month."
"I couldn't bring you home, obviously. I can't let you leave either. If you aren't led away from the humans around here, you'll be tempted to hunt them down for your meal, instead of an animal." He looked at her, waiting to see whether she believed all that or not.

So. He was that white wolf. Oh wait a second. that means... "Oh crap... I'm sorry, too. I hit you with my bag. That thing had a lot of stuff in it!" The teen began to ramble. "Ack! How's your head?" She asked, looking at his forehead or wherever she hit him. God, I feel bad... She mumbled to herself, looking at him a bit more before looking at her nails. Listening to Titanus as he told her about being a child of the Moon, she smiled a little. She was going to turn into a wolf. Snapping back into reality she was lucky to catch his last few statements. Nodding at the first two, she smiled. "That means you saved me. Thank you." She said, looking at him straight in the eyes.
She began to think of the white wolf, then the drawing. Then she thought of the similarities between them. It was as if she had already known that she'd meet this wolf. Sure she heard the wolf before, but Sawyer had never seen him.
"So... That means Dad was right... I should've taken him seriously." She said after a while. Her father may have made it up and maybe he was kidding, but he was pretty accurate. Her eyes were clouding as she remembered back when she was about three. Her real father used to tell her silly little stories about Vampires and Werewolves. Never about shifters, though. Still, he'd tell her about the skirmishes that Werewolves and vampires had.
"Now now, Keer... don't laugh. You might meet one and then, you'll remember what I had to say." He said, smiling. the man patted his eager daughter on the head. "Okay, daddy!" Kira quickly squealed, excitement coating every syllable. She then hugged him and ran off to play with her little friends. They'd play and she'd forget about everything that daddy would say.
Without realizing it, a tear was rolling down her cheek. Snapping back into reality, she shook her head a little and wiped her tears on her shirt. "Sorry..." She mumbled. Her voice was drowned out by a large, long, loud growl. As her stomach rumbled, Sawyer blushed. "Uh... Um... Yeah." She said, sinking into the covers. Although she felt like she was starving, she was used to it. Jason used to do it to her all the time. "Anything else I need to know?" She inquired, trying to hide her embarrassment. Of course, she was wondering if Titanus would tell her anything about Vampires.

She was taking this all surprisingly well. "Its fine, Sawyer," He said, shaking his head slightly and chuckling, "It would take a lot more than a bag to actually do any major damage. It was just a mild annoyance. Usually my prey doesn't fight back that much." He looked back into her eyes as she thanked him. "Trust me, my mind was not on saving you at the moment. I was just angry with the bear for trying to steal my meal," He told her. The bear had merely ended up being an easier meal in the end, "But, you're welcome, I suppose."
"Your dad?" He asked, tilting his head in curiosity. She seemed to zone out for a moment, a tear on her cheek. She snapped back to reality suddenly, and a loud growl emitted from her stomach. He really needed to go out and get her food soon. She'd need energy for the change her body was going through.
As she asked for more information. "Well, you'll be faster, and stronger, and immortal. Don't worry about silver-unless it pierces your heart, it won't bother you at all," He told her, "But you should be careful, if you ever encounter a vampire. They aren't exactly friendly towards us. Their leaders-the Volturi-they declared us enemies, and won't tolerate a vampire's association with us. We haven't spoken to the vampires around here-The Cullen family-so we aren't sure about how they'd feel about befriending us."
