Titanus was well out of the town of Forks, out in the wilderness beyond it. He needed to find some place safe for him, Clara and Jack to spend the three nights of the full moon. It wasn't Clara and Jack he was worried about-they seemed to have better control of their minds in their wolf forms, which he supposed had to do with their vampire blood-but he could be a mindless killer. If he was tempted by a human, they didn't stand much of a chance. It took a lot to tempt him, thankfully; they'd have to be limping along on a broken leg for him to take advantage of the easier prey. But still, he would rather be safe than sorry.
As he moved deeper into the forest; he caught the scent of others that had been there recently. It wasn't humans, which was a relief; but it was vampires, which could be a problem. And, he quickly realized, whoever it was was still around.
