Jacob walked out onto the sandy ground before him, black hair ruffling with the breeze blowing. He wore nothing but shredded jean shorts. The werewolf's golden brown skin glistened under the blockaded sunlight, cooling his body in a soothing manner. His feet thudded softly into the padding that was sand. It seemed to muffle every step he took, though he was sure he'd be heard if someone was nearby, or at least noticed. He wasn't hard to miss and Jake normally got looks as he walked around. Fall was always a time that Jake enjoyed though. It was inbetween summer and winter, which meant that it was the perfect temperatures for him to find comfortable. His chocolate brown eyes smiled as he saw a boy and a girl. He was intrigued instantly. There weren't many people in La Push that he didn't know. Jake tensed though, walking over to them.
The boy seemed familiar and the girl, well she was pretty but he didn't care about either of that. He let his long, agile legs carry him over to where the two stood and spoke. "What are you doing here," he asked, looking rather stern and slightly alarmed, though not to the point of showing fear and giving advantage to the two. He wondered what they would think of him. He was positive he'd seen the girl around, but the boy was familiar somehow too, he just wasn't sure when or where...or even how.

Jason was happy to see Winter return so quickly, bringing a scent of clothes. He sniffed them slightly when she set them down on the stump; they smelled slightly musty but considering his clothes were now in shreds back on the beach, he wasn't about to complain. He nodded his head when she asked it if it would be alright.
He turned, his ears flicking in his direction, as another person approached them. He smelled very similar to Winter, so he supposed that he was a Shape-shifter too. He seemed alarmed; not that Jason blamed him, there was a massive tiger standing several feet away from him. He looked to Winter, waiting for her to say something, since he couldn't.

Winter was glad He said they would be okay, the clothes she had gotten from him would be far from missed, Winter would even be surprised if her father even knew if he had them anymore. First hearing then seeing a really tall boy approach Winter was now a little worried but after biting he lip and taking in a deeper breath Winter notice he was a shifter too, He was familiar she had ot know the boy name she at least went to school with him he looked Quileute. "I could ask you the same thing your in my backyard.Winter looked back and Jason and stood in front of him.She felt like she should he hiding him but this guy was a shifter too.
"What I am doing if you have to know thought is trying to help poor Jason here out. He phased down at the beach out in the open and I could let him risk being exposed. I know how scary it can be an so do you from your smell wolf boy"

Jason laid in the grass beneath his feet. It didn't seem like they'd be going anywhere anytime soon, so why not just relax. His gaze rested on the other male around-Winter didn't seem to know him, just referring to him as "wolf boy"-before it shifted back to Winter. He still wanted to hear what helped her calm down, or at least wanted to know more about what he was now. Or had he always been one, and just hadn't known it? He sat and thought about it, his mind wandering to the story his grandfather used to tell him when he was little, about how men in his own grandfather's village had turned into tigers when a couple who glowed in the moonlight, to fight them off. When they turned into wolves. He looked to both shifters, suddenly panicked. What if they were the same sort of creatures? They didn't seem like enemies to him...

Winter placed the clothes down on a rock ans sat down beside Jason. "This is nothing to worry about really just some of us shifters think we know all the others around La Push, the thing is there are not many female shifters and it is somewhat embarrassing to get mad a shift in front of the guys. Winter rubbed his ears a bit, she always liked hers rubbed it always helped her calm down. " Lets ignore the big muscly bonehead right now, and work on getting you to relax a bit winter spoke softly she knew the other guy might hear her but she was just going to ignore him. Jason was her priority right now, even though they just met she at least knew more about Jason at the moment.
Winter stopped rubbing his ear and smiled. " I'm sorry for doing that it always helps me calm down, mom used to rub my ear when i was little to help me sleep. The best way ot calm down is think of things that can help you relax. Winter did not have much of a problem changing back now she had been a shifter almost a year. As long as she kept her anger in check she was fine.

He could understanding why it would be embarrassing for the females to lose control in front of the males. Not necessarily when they first changed, but when they ended up back in human form, nude-unless they'd grown used to that sort of thing. Of course, it couldn't be that great to lose control in front of anyone-whether you were going to explode out of your skin and into a wolf's pelt instead.
He leaned slightly into her fingers as she scratched him behind the ears. He hadn't minded it, so her apology for it surprised him. Still, he listened to what she had to tell, her suggestion to think of things that helped him relax. He looked up at the sky, seeing the rainclouds start to gather. He hoped it would rain soon. It always seemed to help him relax when it did.

Winter took a seat on a tree stump, she did not know how long it would take Jason to change back but she would be there the whole time or as longs as he wanted her around. Winter knew how lost she felt out n the forest alone after she phased for her first time. It was ot that she was lonely it was just that it was harder to clam down when you did not understand what was going on. "I explain a bit to you, only because I am not sure how you changed into a giant tiger. my family, well not just my family but other in La Push are decedents According to Quileute legend, the spirit warriors were the first to shift their shape from humans into wolves. From the beginning the Quileute people were a small population, however they never disappeared because they are believed to have magic in their bloodlines. Winter stared explaining she wanted to tell Jason the whole story though.
"After a while descendants no longer turned to wolves when they reached manhood. Only when a cold one was near would they return. The cold ones always came in ones or twos so the pack stayed small with three wolves until a bigger coven came. The leader of the coven spoke to Ephraim Black as if he were a man and promised not to harm the Quileutes. His strange yellow eyes gave proof of this, and a treaty was offered to the tribe even though there was no need—they outnumbered the wolves and could have won easily if they fought. Ephraim accepted and the coven's numbers forced a larger pack than before. Over the years, the coven left and returned to Forks but always kept true to their word and did not harm the tribe. Maybe you changed becuse of the cold ones too?".

Jason shook his head after he felt a few rain drops on his head, a shower quickly starting. He listened to her recount the Quilete legend, explaining how there came to be shape shifters there. But they had only wolves there, no tigers. She didn't know how it was that he turned into a tiger-just that it might have something to do with the "cold ones", who ever they were-or what ever. He, on the other hand, thought of a story his grandfather often told him. She'd have to wait a bit to hear it.
He lay in silence-unable to speak, as the rain continued to fall, listening to the steady of rhythm of it. He focused on it, the sound almost lulling him to sleep. Soon, he felt his body shift, until he was a human again. Looking down at himself, he blushed at the fact that he was naked, and got to his feet and ran off to get the clothes Winter had brought him.
He stumbled back once he was clothed. "Is it normal to hurt so much?" It felt like every inch was searing with pain.

As the rain fell, Winter ran her fingers though her hair. It was not cold to her but he Parent always gave her trouble when she enter the house socking wet leaving muddy foot prints on the floor. As the rain pounded the dried leaves Winter could hear the leaves start shuffling under Jason, he must have been phasing back, to give him is privacy she looked the other way, it was just common decency, he did not look at her when she phased. Just listen winter heard him get off and move, she did not look back at Jason tell he spoke."The first phase is always the most painful. Your body was not used to the change it has never happened to you before. in time , like your second and third phase you wont notice it anymore not as much and the more it happens the less painful it gets.
Winter smiled and stood up, "If you want we can go into my house, and to my room and talk about all of this, get us out of the rain?" Winter did not mind sitting out there becuse no one could really hear them but Jason was probably a bit hungry now Winter was. "I can get us some snacks and stuff too."

"Well, glad it won't feel like my skin's been torn apart every time I shift back," He said, rubbing the back of his neck. He didn't know how long it would be before he shifted again, but he hoped it would be soon, so he could get through with the whole pain part of it quicker. He smiled as she offered food. "Definitely," He said with a grin. He could feel his stomach gurgling at the thought of a snack. "I'm starving." It was odd really-he'd just been fine before he'd changed back. Of course, all things considered, it wasn't the wierdest thing that had happened to him today, not by a long shot.

"Okay come on," Winter grabbed Jason by the hand and pulled him across her back yard and into her house. Winter stopped when she got to the rug and placed her hands on his shoulders. " Wait here till I get you a towel. My mom get mad when i get mud all over the floors." Winter smirked ans slipped on a pair a sippers she kept by the back door and ran down the hall. She could easily mop up the foot prints but went mud got on the carpet her mom usually throws a fit. coming back quickly Winter threw a towel his way and walked to the fridge. "You like Lasagna? Jason had forgotten all about shoes, until she mentioned the mud. The soles of his feet were coated in it-they should be cold, but instead, he was hardly bothered by it at all. He supposed his sneakers had ended up like the rest of his clothes-in shreds on First Beach. How he was going to explain his sudden loss of clothes to his parents-he didn't know. He caught the towel she tossed at him, and cleaned himself off, starting by toweling himself off then wiping the mud off his feet. Slinging the towel over his shoulder, he stepped into the kitchen. "Lasagna? Yeah, that's great," He told her with a smile. In all honesty, anything would've satisfied him now, his hunger ravenous, clawing at his stomach and demanding food.
